A compact kiln accessory designed to elevate ceramic pieces during firing, preventing the surface from touching the kiln shelf. Each hexagonal base features multiple holes so the included ceramic points can be positioned to suit pieces of different shapes and sizes.
The small contact points make these especially useful for firing pieces with glaze on the bottom, reducing glaze sticking and minimizing unwanted marks.
After firing, the tiny pin-sized points of glaze contact may be optionally smoothed with a stilt mark stone or our diamond grit sanding sponge.
Also helpful for firing pieces that may roll away or are too delicate for repeated handling.
